We work with authors and publishers to format and convert books into ebooks, and distribute them to all the major ebook retailers including Amazon, Apple, B&N, Google Play, Ingram, Kobo, Scribd, Baker and Taylor, and our own bookstore. We then work with our clients to promote their books to the media and the public. Our ebook publishing service includes the following:
The first step in the ebook publishing process is to get your document prepared for ebook conversion. This means converting the document to an editable source if necessary, removing page numbers, setting margins, rethinking the layout for an e-reading device, linking table of contents, and more. This is an important step that determines the overall quality of your ebook. Converting a document into an ebook requires manual editing and formatting to make it function properly and look great. An automated conversion poorly done will lead to bad reader reviews and poor sales. Our team of experts will do our best to ensure that doesn't happen to your book.
The second step in the ebook publishing process is to convert your .doc, .docx, .pages, .odt, .rtf, ($149) or .pdf file ($249) into the multiple valid ebook formats accepted by the retailers. If you already have a converted and validated .epub file ready for distribution, you pay just $25 for the submission and distribution of the file (press release distribution not included).
We Assign You an ISBN (optional): An "ISBN" is a unique identifying number for your book that is required for some retailers to keep track of sales data and book information—and a listing in Bowker's Books in Print database, which will allow all booksellers to easily find your book. There is no extra charge for these numbers.
We Convert Your File To Many Required eBook Types: It would be nice if all ebooks had one standard format, but unfortunately, they don't. We convert your book to the formats offered by the major online booksellers, to each retailer's specifications. This includes .epub, .mobi, and .pdf.
We Check Your Converted eBook for Quality: You can always use an extra set of eyes looking over your book before it is published. While we convert your book, we correct any obvious errors we see along the way. When the files are converted, we open your ebook on ebook reader simulators to ensure the converted files look professional.
The third step of the ebook publishing process is getting your book out there where readers can easily find it. Through our major online book retailer partners and our relationship with Ingram Digital, your ebook will be sold in the online stores that currently account for over 98% of all ebooks sold. These partners currently include:
You can opt out of any or all of the retail distributors. Some clients prefer to submit their books themselves, and this is perfectly fine. If you opt out of all the retail distributors, this is called "conversion only."
We Pay You!: We pay you monthly for all your sales! Our fee is just 15% of the NET payment. That means if your book sells for $10 and the retailer takes $4, our share is just 15% of $6, or $.90. Our fee includes detailed on demand reporting. Updates made to your ebook are billed at just $49/hour.
We will distribute your press release through our account at PRlog.org to get you started with promotion. For advanced promotion options including press release writing service and distribution of your press release to the Associated Press, see our book promotion page.

We work closely with our clients every step of the way and will ensure that this process is a smooth and enjoyable one for you!

The Press Release Distribution must redeemed within 90 days of the initial order. Your press release must include a link to your book on the eBookIt.com bookstore, and no other links to other bookstores (although you certainly can mention other bookstores).
