A press release is a carefully crafted message that meets particular guidelines accepted by media outlets. This document takes hours to create whether we do it or the client creates it. The Media Blast service does not require a press release—it can simply use the book's description that is used with all of the retailers. This description is usually already written, and can be sufficient to let the media outlets know what the book is about. Going with the description can be a less expensive and a time-saving option, whereas going with a press release can be more effective. The choice is usually guided by budget.
